AP 500 S Battery: Lithium-Ion 337 Wh battery with STIHL connected
 
High capacity 36 V, 8.8 Ah Lithium-Ion battery that powers tools within the STIHL AP System and is the most powerful AP battery from STIHL. 
With an energy capacity of 337 Wh, this battery offers the highest capacity out of all AP batteries, meaning it will consistently power AP System tools for longer. The battery has an integrated LED charge indicator, clearly displaying as and when the battery needs charging. The AP 500 S has a Power Boost function which, in combination with certain STIHL tools, enables you to temporarily achieve peak power of up to 3.5 kW.
Featuring power laminate technology, which means it has double the number of charging cycles of a typical STIHL AP system battery with cylindrical cells. With approximately 253 charging cycles per year (253 working days, excluding weekends and bank holidays in UK) the battery will last close to 10 years without the typical capacity loss of the battery cells.
Plus, the AP 500 S battery is equipped with the latest version of STIHL Connected, allowing users to track data such as total discharge time and total charge cycles. This data is then made available in the STIHL Connected App, a fleet management tool that provides an insightful overview of all tools in your fleet. Durable and suitable for all weather conditions and is the powerhouse behind the vast majority of AP System tools.
This battery has a cold start feature, which protects the cells by warming them up in a controlled way before delivering full power and allows them to work down to -20° Celsius.
AP System batteries feature an intelligent battery management system - this clever technology gives a constant level of power whether the battery is 100% charged or 1% charged. 
Compatible with the AL 101, AL 301, AL 301-4 and AL 501 charger units.
