The STIHL MSA 220.1 TC-O is STIHL’s most powerful cordless top-handle chainsaw, ideal for professional arborists tackling tasks such as crown correction, removing dead wood and cutting down sections of trunk. An upgraded version of the MSA 220 T / TC-O, it delivers the highest cutting performance in STIHL’s top-handle range, with increased torque, reduced weight and Power Boost technology.
 
With 10% more torque than the previous model, the MSA 220.1 TC-O maintains strong cutting speed under load. It can also be used with the AP 200 S battery for a lighter overall setup and improved handling. Power Boost allows the saw to draw on the battery’s peak electrical output (up to 1.8 kW), while providing a standard output of 1.25 kW for consistent performance.
 
An integrated oil sensor and LED display warn when chain oil is running low. The saw also features an electronic trigger system with an unlock button for simple activation, and the top-handle LED display shows key operating information, including activation status and chain brake position. Compact and well balanced, it’s designed to reduce wrist strain—especially when paired with the AP 300 S battery, which helps counterbalance the guide bar for effortless control.
 
Built for professional use, it includes an easy-to-clean air filter for long service life and optimum cooling, side-mounted chain tensioning, a tool-free oil tank cap and a captive nut on the sprocket cover. It comes fitted with a 1.3 mm 3/8” P PS3 chain and Light P04 guide bar for excellent cutting performance.
 
Like most ALLPRO/AP System tools, the MSA 220.1 TC-O is IPX4 rated, meaning it can be used in all types of weather conditions.
 
For the best balance of power and weight, the ALLPRO AP 200 P battery is recommended. For longer working times, the ALLPRO AP 300 P can be used, although this may affect balance. Typical working time with the recommended battery is around 28 minutes.
