This starter set includes an AK 20 battery and AL 101 charger, providing everything you need to power your compatible STIHL AK System machine.

The AK 20 is a 36 V, 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery with a 144 Wh energy capacity. Its integrated LED charge indicator clearly shows when the battery needs recharging. Designed for homeowners, the AK 20 is versatile, durable and long-lasting, making it suitable for demanding gardening tasks.

The battery features a cold-start function that protects the cells by warming them gradually before delivering full power. It can also operate in temperatures as low as -20°C. STIHL’s intelligent battery management system maintains a consistent power output, whether the battery is fully charged or nearly empty.

The AL 101 is a 230 V charger compatible with AK System batteries and AP System batteries. Its LED indicator shows when the battery is charging or fully charged, while passive cooling helps protect the battery during charging. A Velcro cable strap keeps the cable tidy when not in use, and the charger can be wall-mounted in a workshop or garage.
