STIHL BRA 500 Cordless Backpack Blower – Tool Only
Professional blower with powerful blowing force
Please note: this model is supplied as a tool only and does not include batteries or a charger. If you do not already own compatible batteries and a charger, please add these to your basket.
Designed for professional use, the STIHL BRA 500 is a powerful cordless backpack blower capable of handling demanding clearing tasks. Part of the ALLPRO/AP System, it uses two ALLPRO/AP batteries to power its 72-volt motor, delivering an impressive maximum blowing force of 32 newtons—equivalent to the professional BR 600 petrol backpack blower.
Ideal for clearing large areas such as parks, fields, paths and streets, the BRA 500 can easily move heavy or wet leaves, grass and hedge trimmings, as well as general debris. Its constant power output maintains strong performance throughout the battery charge.
With two AP 500 S batteries fitted, the blower weighs 14.5 kg. However, its excellent weight distribution, with the batteries and motor positioned close to the operator’s back, provides improved comfort compared with traditional petrol backpack blowers. The padded carrying system, including shoulder and back padding also used on the BR 800, makes the BRA 500 comfortable to wear during extended periods of use.
STIHL’s integrated noise-reduction system helps minimise high-frequency noise through low fan speed and effective insulation, making the blower more pleasant to use around schools, parks and other public areas.
An aluminium tube at the base makes the blower easier to carry to and from a vehicle while also improving durability during transport. The control handle features an electronic interface with Low, Mid, High and Boost power modes, battery-status display, cruise-control functionality, connectivity information and basic diagnostic details.
The STIHL adjustable round nozzle is also available separately. This 2-in-1 accessory allows you to switch between maximum air volume and maximum air speed, making it easier to remove leaves, grass cuttings and hedge trimmings.
Important: The BRA 500 requires two ALLPRO/AP batteries and cannot be operated with just one battery. For the longest possible working time, STIHL recommends using two ALLPRO AP 300 P batteries.
