The STIHL MS 300 C-M is a professional petrol chainsaw built for foresters, arborists and demanding users who need strong performance in a lightweight, easy-to-handle package. Developed as the successor to the popular MS 261 C-M, it’s been completely redesigned to deliver outstanding capability in the 50 cc class. With a 53.3 cc engine producing 3.3 kW and a powerhead weight of just 4.8 kg, it offers an impressive power-to-weight ratio for pruning, processing timber, cutting firewood and felling small to medium-sized trees.
Powered by STIHL’s M‑Tronic 3.0 engine management, the MS 300 C-M automatically adjusts fuel metering and ignition timing to maintain optimum performance across changing conditions. Combined with the STIHL 2‑MIX engine, this delivers reliable starting, reduced fuel consumption and consistently strong cutting power. The larger engine provides 15% more torque than the MS 261 C-M, helping maintain chain speed in thicker wood with less chance of bogging down mid-cut.
For fast, efficient cutting, the MS 300 C-M delivers rapid chain acceleration comparable to the fuel-injected MS 500i, taking the chain from 0 to 100 km/h in just 0.25 seconds. The STIHL .325" RS Pro chain paired with the STIHL Light 04 guide bar provides excellent cutting performance and precise handling, helping you work faster and more accurately.
Designed for professional use, it features a compact body, low gyroscopic forces and improved rear handle geometry for confident control during felling, limbing, snedding and plunge cutting. Parallel plunge-cut direction lines on the fan housing and a vertical felling line support accurate guidance, while the wide knee support and STIHL anti-vibration system help reduce fatigue over long working days.
