The STIHL MSA 260 C-O is a professional battery chainsaw built for arborists, landscapers and forestry professionals who need high cutting performance in a lightweight, highly manoeuvrable saw. Positioned between the MSA 220 and MSA 300 in STIHL’s professional cordless range, it delivers an excellent balance of power, agility and productivity for daily use.
Producing 2.0 kW of mechanical power and 2.8 Nm of torque, with a maximum chain speed of 24 m/s, the MSA 260 C-O is ideal for felling small trees, processing timber and general maintenance work across forestry, arboriculture and landscape management.
Weighing just 3.7 kg (without battery, guide bar, chain and oil), it’s designed for comfort over extended periods. When paired with the recommended ALLPRO AP 200 P battery, guide bar, chain and a full tank of oil, the total working weight remains under 6 kg, helping reduce fatigue without compromising performance.
The MSA 260 C-O is specifically designed to run with the ALLPRO AP 200 P* battery, delivering an outstanding balance of runtime, power and ergonomics. With the AP 200 P fitted, it can fell and delimb up to two pine trees (approx. 30 cm diameter, 15 m height) or provide up to 25 minutes of working time, depending on the application.
For maximum productivity, combine multiple AP 200 P batteries with the AL 1802 charger and PS 2000 power bank. With rapid charging to 80% in as little as 9 minutes, you can maintain continuous workflows with minimal downtime.
Built for efficiency and ease of use, the MSA 260 C-O features an adjustable oil pump so lubrication can be matched to the task, reducing oil use for lighter work and extending time between refills. A new external metal-mesh air filter effectively cools the motor and electronics and is quick to clean, helping reduce maintenance in demanding environments.
A new electronic activation system with a five-second standby function makes it ideal for stop-start working, while a clear status display provides key information at a glance, including activation, chain brake status and oil level.
Additional professional features include metal bumper spikes, side-mounted chain tensioning, an interchangeable sprocket system (for 3/8" Picco or .325" setups), and low vibration levels of 2.9 m/s² (left) and 2.7 m/s² (right). With a sound pressure level of 89 dB(A), it’s also designed to help reduce fatigue over long working days.
