The STIHL RMA 248 is a cordless, push lawn mower designed for entry-level users mowing small to medium lawns at home. Part of STIHL’s 2 Series AK System range, it’s lightweight, quiet and packed with practical features for home gardeners. It’s also been tested by Trusted Reviews, earning a “Highly Recommended” rating (4 out of 5 stars).
 
Built with a durable sheet-steel deck, it features a 46 cm (18") cutting width and single-point cutting height adjustment from 20–100 mm. Powered by the interchangeable AK 20 battery, it includes two battery slots so you can quickly switch to a second AK battery when the first runs out. With the recommended AK 20 battery, it can mow up to 220 m² per charge.
 
The RMA 248 offers four mowing options (no extra tools required—please refer to the owner’s manual before use):

Cut & drop with the grass box removed
Side discharge via the integrated deck flap
Mulching using the multi-blade and mulching attachment
 
The comfort mono-handlebar gives easy access to the grass catcher box for simpler removal and emptying. The 52-litre grass box includes a fill-level indicator and opens fully for quick emptying. The sturdy mono-handlebar is height adjustable, folds down for compact storage, and comes with a 10-year domestic warranty.
