The STIHL RMA 253 is a cordless push lawn mower designed for entry-level users mowing small to medium lawns at home. Part of STIHL’s 2 Series AK System range, it’s lightweight, quiet and packed with practical features for home gardeners.
 
Built with a durable sheet-steel deck, it features a 51 cm (20") cutting width and single-point cutting height adjustment from 20–100 mm. Powered by the interchangeable AK 30 S battery, it also includes two battery slots, so you can quickly switch to a second AK battery when the first runs out. With the recommended AK 30 S battery, it can cover up to 275 m² per charge.
 
The RMA 253 offers four mowing options (no extra tools required—please refer to the owner’s manual before use):
 
Cut & collect with the grass box fitted
Cut & drop with the grass box removed
Side discharge via the integrated deck flap
Mulching using the multi-blade and mulching attachment
 
The comfort mono-handlebar provides easy access to the grass catcher box for simpler removal and emptying. The 55-litre grass box includes a fill-level indicator and opens fully for quick emptying. The sturdy mono-handlebar is height adjustable, folds down for compact storage, and comes with a 10-year domestic warranty.
