What Is Mulching?
A lot of the HRX range are able to do mulching, either with the in-built Versamow™ system or with an optional mulching kit.
Some of our customers are not sure what mulching is all about, but it is well worth the time getting to understand it.
Mulching in its simplest form is a way of mowing your lawn without the need to collect the cut clippings and dispose of them. It has several benefits including self-fertilising your lawn, reducing mowing time by not having to empty the grass bag, lower fuel consumption etc. This is how many of the robot mowers like the Miimo work and if you have ever seen a lawn that has been looked after by one of these machines you will know how green and healthy they look after a very short period of time from installing them. Honda blades are designed to twist, not break, should you hit a solid obstacle while mowing. This Honda innovation not only increases safety, it also prevents further damage to the engine and the cutter deck. Also, an automatic choke on all models provides accurate temperature sensing for trouble-free starting, whether it’s hot or cold.
